Round 13 AFL Best Bets

Ben Hobbs Anytime Goal at $2.08

Essendon rookie Ben Hobbs has been earning some AFL Rising Star buzz recently.

Hobbs had a career-high 22 disposals in Essendon's most recent outing against Port Adelaide, and has kicked four goals in his last four games.

With Devon Smith and Alec Waterman out for the Bombers, Hobbs should get a few chances to kick at least one more against Carlton this week.

Our fair odds for Hobbs to hit the scoreboard sit at $1.85, with the best bookie odds coming from Sportsbet at $2.08.

Essendon vs Carlton is at the MCG on Friday, June 10 at 7:50pm AEST.

Hawthorn +39.5 at $1.91

The Dockers have been on fire recently, and the bookies have rewarded them by making them 39.5-point favourites in this match against Hawthorn. Even at home, however, it is simply too high.

The 13th-placed Hawks have been impressive against some of this year's top teams, highlighted by a win over Brisbane, a win over Geelong on Easter Monday, and a 10-point loss to reigning premiers Melbourne.

Our fair odds for Hawthorn +39.5 are $1.65, with Fremantle winning by just 32 points according to our model's current expected score.

Fremantle vs Hawthorn is at Optus Stadium on Saturday, June 11 at 4:10pm AEST.

Dan Butler Anytime Goal at $1.75

St Kilda forward Dan Butler returns from a couple of weeks in the VFL this Saturday.

Butler has had 10 shots on goal across the last two weeks of VFL action (1.3 and 5.1) and it appears he is being brought back in by the Saints to kick goals.

Our fair odds for a Butler goal this week are $1.66, with Pointsbet's $1.75 the best available with the bookies.

Brisbane vs St Kilda is at the Gabba on Saturday, June 11 at 7:25pm AEST.
