Round 18 NRL Try Scorer Tips

Alex Johnston Anytime Try at $1.65

As the NRL's leading scorer with 16 tries in 15 games, Alex Johnston again finds himself as the most likely player to score this weekend.

Johnston has scored nine tries in his last six games and now finds himself up against a Bulldogs side that's conceded 21.2 points per game in 2022.

Our fair odds for a Johnston try on Sunday line up perfectly with what's on offer at Pointsbet, with their $1.65 the best available.

Maika Sivo Anytime Try at $1.62

The Eels are the heaviest favourites in the NRL this week and that probably means we're going to get a try from Maika Sivo.

Sivo has scored an incredible 55 tries in 71 career games and is now projected as a 58.5% chance of getting in again against the Warriors.

Our fair odds for Sivo to score are $1.71, with the best in the market coming from TAB at $1.62.

Eels vs Warriors is at CommBank Stadium on Friday, July 15 at 7:55pm AEST.

Ryan Papenhuyzen Anytime Try at $2.05

Storm's main man Ryan Papenhuyzen has been the most consistent try scorer in the NRL this season, with a an average of 1.27 per game.

With our model projecting Melbourne to score 24 points this week, there should be plenty of opportunities for the fullback to get across the line.

With our fair odds at $1.80 for a Papenhuyzen try, the $2.05 on offer from Ladbrokes is a bet according to the model.

Storm vs Raiders is at AAMI Park on Sunday, July 17 at 4:05pm AEST.

Kyle Feldt Anytime Try at $2.10

Another guy who is not only more likely to score than not, but is also at value with the bookies is Kyle Feldt.

Discounting the Cowboys game against the Storm where we was injured after 15 minutes, Feldt has scored six tries in four games.

Our fair odds for Feldt to score again this week are $1.94, with TAB's $2.10 the best in the market.

Cowboys vs Sharks is at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Friday, July 15 at 6:00pm AEST.

Clint Gutherson Anytime Try at $1.96

Eels captain Clint Gutherson has been in good form of late, with three tries and two try assists in his last three games.

As mentioned above, the Eels are projected as the most likely team to win in the NRL this week, meaning try opportunties should come often for their best players.

Our fair odds for Gutherson to score are $2.06, with TAB offering the best of the bookies at $1.96.
