Head to Head:

Port won this game last year by 4 points and prior to that the Demons won 3 in a row, which coincided with their league leading form, although Port weren't far behind.

For two teams generally evenly matched, surprisingly, only 3 of their last 11 meetings have finished closer than 14 points - so there is generally a clear winner.

Last week:

Port "overcame" Richmond with class but the very average Tigers led Port to the ball for much of the day. Port's talls were too good on the day but their bottom 6 players are a real worry. They covered the line but it was a struggle all day.

The Demons kicked away in the second half against Hawthorn to win by 55 points. That probably flatters them a little but does show they can score quickly against some of the smaller bodied teams.

What we can expect:

It's been another bruising week for the Demons off the field, with the Coach taking most of it on the chin. That must take a toll.

Port are a big team - 3 big forwards - Dixon, Marshall, Finlayson, Soldo in the ruck and men mountains, Allir and Ratagolea in the backline. They can be too "big" for the Demons in this one and fancy them to cover the 2-goal line with BetRight just here.
