Going back to 2019, the Head-to-Head reads Carlton 6, Fremantle 1. In that period they've played in all scenarios - Saturday, Sunday, day, twilight, night, MCG, Marvel, Optus and under a roof.

The Fremantle victory was R6, 2022 which was a 35-point victory at Optus Stadium.  

Carlton have won the 2 most recent meetings by 53 points and 31 points.

Last week:

The Dockers had a dogfight against the Crows with neither team leading by more than 10 points until midway through the last quarter when Freo gained the ascendancy and kicked away for a 35 point win. Kicking for goal was a problem for both sides with the Dockers kicking 9.15 to Adelaide 4.10. The stats showed the Fremantle won all the key stats so it probably was a case of Adelaide holding on for as long as they could but were worn down.

Carlton started as heavy favourites in the Good Friday game against North. North got off to a bright start but Carlton had no trouble pegging them back and then getting out to big lead and eventually won by 56 points. Carlton were excellent in front of goal kicking 21.11 and even had Curnow go off with injury who didn't re-appear as a precaution, late in the game. The Blues easily won the stats battle - Contested Possessions 141-130, Inside 50s 62-51, Tackles 76-55. 

What we can expect:

Both teams sit at 3-0 and will do whatever it takes to hold on to their undefeated position.

Gather Round last season was the first game that Carlton dropped after a 4-0 start whereas Fremantle had a 10-point win over the Suns who had beaten the reigning premiers, Geelong, just 2 weeks earlier.

The teams give us mixed scoring signals with Carlton averaging 103ppg and giving up 82ppg, whilst Freo are averaging 88ppg whilst giving up 60ppg, which is the lowest in the league. 

Carlton will be looking for the shootout, Fremantle desperate to contain it. Can see this one going right down to the wire so must go with Fremantle and the +7.5 line with Bet Right just here.
