Head to Head:

Geelong won the last meeting, R15 last season by 15 points, and the prior meeting in R17, 2022 by 28 points, with both of those matches played in Geelong. The most recent meetings at the MCG were back in 2020 (3 point win to Geelong) and in 2021 which was a 25 point win to Melbourne.

Last week:

The Demons kicked away in the second half against the Tigers to win by 43 points. It was an arm wrestle in the first half with the Tigers leading by a point at HT although it looked like the floodgates could open at any stage. The Demons kicked the first 4 goals of Q3 and were in no danger after that. The stats were fairly even although the Demons won Contested Ball 136-119.

The Cats beat the Blues by 13 points in a massive game at Marvel Stadium. The Cats trailled early by 2 points early in Q1 but gained the lead shortly after and weren't headed for the rest of the game. It got out to as much as 32 points in Q4 before the Blues came home hard to get it back to 8 points with 5-6 minutes left. The Cats were able to find a goal when they needed it for most of the game, mostly through efficiency with 28 scoring shots from just 45 entries. The Blues won most of the stats - Contested Ball 139-120, Inside 50s 66-45 and Clearances 44-38. 

What we can expect this week:

Can the Cats repeat their efficiency of last week? Not sure but if they revert a little to their average then Melbourne can be winning this. The line has moved to +4.5 as well, and this just seems like icing on the cake for the Demons. So it's the Demons with the +4.5 line with Bet Right just here
