📈 The Bulldogs bring in one of their most improved players in Ed Richards with Caleb Poulter making way after starting as Sub last week. Major Positive.

📈 Geelong bring back the very hard Zach Tuohy as well as Rhys Stanley with young Conway managed and regular spare parts man, Oisin Mullin back to the 2's for more game time. Big Positives.

Head to Head:

The Bulldogs won their most recent meeting, R24 last year by 25 points with neither team playing in the Finals immediately after.

Prior to this, Geelong had won 17 out of 19 against the Bulldogs, truly owning them at both GMHBA Stadium and Marvel.

Last week:

The Bulldogs played a weird-ish game at Marvel vs West Coast. They both had 51 Inside 50's but the Bulldogs kicked 16 goals to West Coast's three from these entries. Is 51 entries a good result v the Eagles? Don't think so but they were "efficient" with their use and will take 16 goals from 51 entries. 

In Tom Hawkins' 350th game, the Cats started like a house on fire and led by 6 goals at QT before the Hawks kicked 5 in the 2nd quarter to bring it back to 11 points at HT. The Cats kicked away again in the 3rd quarter to restore the 36-point lead which was also the final margin. In the stats, the Hawks won the Clearances 44-30 and Inside 50s - 63-54 which makes Geelong's efficiency even more attractive given the conditions.

What we can expect this week:

The Head-to-head record is very hard to ignore here so have to side with the undefeated Cats. They won't have it all their own way though, and it should go down to the wire.
