Welcome to Stats Insider's Big Bash Market Preview - your daily look at what the model (and my gut) are seeing in the main markets (and a few exotics) each and every day of BBL08!
No Ben Laughlin presents come value tonight in the exotics markets with no suggested bets from the model at this early stage but seriously, if you aren't getting amongst this BBL value you should because the model is on fire to start 2019!

Head to Head
The bookies have this one pretty spot on so far today with just a very slight 1% edge from the model at the 61% for the Strikers. No suggested bets here.
Most Sixes
A larger edge (3%) but still not a suggested bet for the Strikers in the Most Sixes market. The model has the Strikers 55% favourites here which is slightly higher than the bookies.
High Bat
I know I say it every game the Strikers play but Jon Wells at $10 is just a solid value play. Twice this season he has come in with 10+ overs to bat needing not much at all to win this market. He hasn't done it but the exposure is there. He can go up through the gears and score quickly late. I'd also like a little bit of the $41's about Rashid Khan here. Sure it is not likely that he even gets a bat let alone wins this market with a quickfire 25 off 15 but if he gets a bat it is likely he won't need many runs to win it and the Sixers do have wicket-takers.
For the Sixers, the value is down the list. I don't mind Avendano at $5.50 but for mine, it's Phillipe ($11) and Curran ($26) because I can't see Rashid Khan not making inroads in that middle order so if they lose top order poles cheaply, that lower order could have a long long time to bat.
Player of the Match
Alex Carey at $9's looks good value. Feels like a game he should be able to score well in. Matt Short ($17's) and Michael Neser ($21's) are overs while Lloyd Pope at $34's is always a knockout chance.
