Head to Head
No value in this main market tonight with the model showing 56% for the Scorchers. With so much value elsewhere I think this main market can be moved on from. I'd lean right with the model though the Scorchers should have a pretty easy time of it here.
Highest Opening Partnership
One of two suggested bets from the Stats Insider model in this market with a 5% edge on the Scorchers. Most likely Bancroft will retain his spot at the top of the order but there is a chance that Whiteman comes back in and opens. Maddinson/Dunk is probably the most volatile, dubious opening partnership in the BBL so i really like this spot up from the model against Coulter-Nile and Willey with the ball.
Most Sixes
Backing against this Scorchers side in the Most Sixes market has proven extremely lucrative for followers of the model so far this season and we have a 5% edge again tonight. I have a slight query about this one though given the absence of Maxwell and Stoinis, i'm not sure how many players they have who can clear the rope on this big MCG ground apart from Gulbis.
High Bat
Some extreme value for both sides with Cartwright ($8) a good chance to bat #3 for the Scorchers whilst I love the prices of Gotch ($7), Bravo ($7) and Gulbis ($11) for the Stars. I expect the Scorchers to make early inroads in that Stars batting lineup which gives the Stars middle order a lot of time to bat.
Player of the Match
David Willey is overs at $15's. He should get the new ball and can swing it. Cartwright at $21's is also well worth a dip whilst Liam Bowe at $34's is a solid spec at odds if he gets the start, he is capable of a 3-wicket haul here against a Scorchers side who has not been great against spin.
