BBL Markets Preview Game 34: Scorchers v Hurricanes

Head to Head

Markets look to have really tightened up in the Big Bash which makes value very difficult to come by particularly in the main markets. The Stats Insider model likes the Hurricanes slightly more (3% edge) than book makers tonight but no suggested bet at this early stage. Check the match page closer to toss.

Most Sixes

No value tonight in the Sixes market with a slight 2% edge for the Scorchers bringing them up to 37%. Both model and markets still favour the Hurricanes here.

High Bat

The light's (or lack of) robbed us of a great $13 Ben Cutting play here last night but there is value tonight lower down the lists in a game I expect will see early wickets fall during the power plays.

George Bailey at $8's is great value as is Hilton Cartwright at $7's for the Scorchers. Getting down to that middle order is a solid play tonight as I expect them to get plenty of time at the crease and both these players can accelerate late.

Player of the Match

Riley Meredith at $17's is looking very appealing to me. His pace will only be accentuated by this Perth wicket and a 3 wicket haul could easily nab him the Player of the match honours. Archer at $11's and also someone like Willey at $13's are both worth a look.

Throw in Bailey ($15) and Cartwright ($17).
