Welcome to Stats Insider's Big Bash Market Preview - your daily look at what the model (and my gut!) are seeing in the main markets (and a few exotics) each and every day of BBL08!
It's do-or-die time for the defending champs as they travel to Launceston to take on the ladder-leading Hurricanes in a game where the model has spied plenty of value.

Most Sixes
An edge is an edge as they say and the model has identified a 6% edge over the bookmaker probabilities for the Strikers in the Most Sixes market where bookies have them sitting at around 31% to take out this market.
Fall of 1st Wicket
With the Hurricanes going so well it is somewhat surprising that the model has spotted an edge here at the Under 18.5 runs, but I like it. Big Billy Stanlake and Michael Neser are both wicket takers and Rashid Khan can always come on in the third over.
High Bat
Jono Wells at $8 is value plus tonight in a game where Faulkner could make early inroads.
For the Hurricanes it just feels like a George Bailey kind of night but $7 is a little short given who is in front of him.
Player of the Match
Jono Wells at $21 and Ben Laughlin at $34 are both big overs for the influential roles they can play to get their team over the line.
