BBL Markets Preview Game 56: Stars v Sixers

Two solid edges from the model to finish the marathon regular season with the Stars locked in a do-or-die clash with the Sixers who are playing to retain a home semi final. Oh yeh, the GOAT is back!

Highest Opening Partnership

The Sixers have been in solid form up top in recent games but this solid 7% edge from the model looks more a commentary on the (lack of ) form of Ben Dunk than anything. Like this play, the Sixers have a really good bowling unit which will put intense pressure on Dunk and Stoinis early on especially from Dwarsius and O'Keefe.

Most Sixes

The Model has spied an edge for the Stars in the most sixes market which is well worth exploring. Aside from Henriques and Vince the Sixers are not big fence-clearers wheras Stoinis, Handscomb, Maxwell, Maddinson, Bravo - the entire Stars top six can all hit them over the rope. With Lyon and O'Keefe in play the Stars have 8 overs of spin to help them. So long as Zampa doesnt find himself bowling too many to Henriques I like this bet a lot.

High Bat

With Stoinis being such a dominant force for the Stars in recent weeks there is value down the list and i'm taking it. $9 for Maddinson in his revenge game looks great for a third drop against a good bowling unit. Like the $17's for Bravo as well.

Going more conservative with the Sixers. Vince ($5) looks very solid. Can't go past him he is the class player in that attack and looks set for a big game.
