BBL Markets Preview Games 50 & 51: Sunday Double

Welcome to Stats Insider's Big Bash Market Preview - your daily look at what the model (and my gut!) are seeing in the main markets (and a few exotics) each and every day of BBL08!

Two suggested bets on this cracking Sunday evening of Big Bash cricket as we near the final stages of an extended season there is value to be found particularly in Perth for what could be a Klinger farewell upset!

H2H

No value in the early game but a very rare H2H bet from the model but an edge is an edge, and a small one has been identified for the Scorchers who are being undervalued by markets according to the model.

Leading Team After 6 Overs

A slight 4% edge for the Heat here from the model suggests that Brisbane are being under valued by the bookies. It is very understandable given their recent (lack of) form but that top 3 is still the most damaging in the comp when at their best and Adelaide Oval tends to bring out a batsman's best so savvy spot up from the model here I think.

High Bat

This is a game for top order runs and Jake Lehmann at $6 looks great value batting at #3. It makes me a little sick in my mouth to say it as watching him bat is like watching old people dance but you have to take the value when it is dangled out in front of you.

For the late game Glen Maxwell out to $5 for High Bat is too good to pass up. Behrendorff and Coulter-Nile are always good for an early wicket or two which brings Maxwell in against the slower Perth seamers.

For Perth Ashton Turner at $5 is also very appealing. He is well overdue and should send Klinger out on a win with a big innings.

Player of the Match

Fire up your Rashid Khan for a final man of the match award for BBL08. Heat have no idea about conventional spin this season, Khan should finish with a strong 3/20 odd which will be enough.
