Club 20: AFL Punting Form for Round 11

With Melbournians in lockdown the front bar is a little quieter than normal so we’ve punched out abit of Friday/Saturday AFL punting form for Round 11.

Fingers crossed our golfers can turn things around tonight but if they don’t, there are a few bets below that might be able to salvage our weekend.

Follow along with us on twitter for the official footy bets this afternoon, we tend not to finalise these things until at least half-way through our second beverage just so we can be in the right headspace!

Will update this Saturday night once the Sunday teams are finalized.

Bulldogs v Demons

  • Salem returns for the Dees, expect them to mind him throughout

  • Treloar goes out for the Dogs which when combined with Dunkley out and Hunter playing a half forward role, presents some disposal value for the remaining onballers

  • Riley Garcia a 20yr old midfielder on debut and Lipinski have come in as the midfield cover for the starting quartet of Libba, Macrae, Bont and Smith.

  • Game seems tailor made for Bailey Smith to go up a gear

  •  Disposal inside 50 a problem for both sides, key defence capable also which leans small forward goals.

  • Possible bets: Weightman 2/3/4 Goals, B Smith 25/30 Disposals

  • Best: Weightman 2 goals @ 2.88, B Smith 25 @ 1.72

Magpies v Cats

  • Adams out for the Pies gives Pies onballers small disposal bump, likewise Mitch Duncan out for Geelong.

  • Expect the Cats to either win it out of the center or turn it over across half back. Geelong dominant.

  • Possible Bets: Isaac Smith 20/25/30 Disposals, Zach Tuohy 25/30 Disposals, Tom Hawkins 3/4/5 Goals

  • Best: Isaac Smith 20+ Disposals @ 1.50, Isaac Smith 25+ Disposals @ 3.00

Lions v Giants

  • Lions unchanged, Sam Taylor out for Giants, further exposing their severely undermanned key defence

  • Hipwood, Daniher, McStay all favourable matchups if Lions can win enough out of the middle, 10+ shots between them very likely.

  • Possible Bets: McStay, Cameron, Daniher, Hipwood 3/4/5 Goals

  • Best: Cameron 3+ Goals @ 2.80, Cameron 4+ @ 5.50

Saints v Kangaroos

  • Which Saints show up? Both sides horribly inaccurate in front of goal.

  • Possible bets: Brad Hill 20/25 disposals, Kangas H2H, Kangas Line (+26.5)

  • Best: Kangas +26.5

West Coast v Essendon

  • 20-30mm forecast, expect that 140pt game total to come down further if forecast holds.

  • Staying away.

Suns v Hawks

  • O’Meara is out for Hawks, Shiels in. Miller likely to curtail Mitchell which leaves Worpel to receive a double disposals bump

  • Ben King gets easier time of it sans Hartigan (out)

  • Big Rankine game very close

  • Possible Bets: Worpel 20/25/30 Disposals, Isaac Rankine 15/20 Disposals, Rankine 2/3/4 Goals.

  • Best: Worpel 25+ @ 2.25, Rankine 15+ @ 2.88, Rankine 2 Goals @ 2.80

Hedge

Cruelly denied sporting glory due to recurring shin splint complaints and an aversion to warm-up laps, Hedge now spends his days golfing, fishing the leaves out of the Club 20 pools and identifying value plays in PGA, AFL, AFLW and T20. All you really need to know about him is he's more than comfortable taking 3I off the tee on a Par 5, and more than capable of pulling driver off the deck second shot.
