NBA Betting Preview: Day 15

Another day of NBA in the books. Klay Thompson lit Chicago on fire, dropping 14 threes in an unforgettable display as the Warriors covered with ease. Jimmy Butler ruined the Lakers visit to Minnesota, turning it on in the fourth quarter, whilst San Antonio fell one point short of covering against the Mavericks.

Nevertheless, onto day 15 of the Betting Preview. Today we'll be focusing on Memphis battle with Washington, Detroit's visits to Boston and the Clippers trip to Oklahoma City. We're going against a couple of trends today, but have faith, there are good reasons why.

Detroit @ Boston

The Pistons will look to bounce back from the rout at the hands of Boston in their last encounter, as the Celtics manhandled Detroit from start to finish 109-89 just the other night.

Blake Griffin's outstanding form was brought back to Earth, as he was held to 7 points on 2-13 shooting. They'll need a huge display from him if they are to stand a chance of upsetting Boston on their own floor, whilst Detroit's bench will need to stand tall. They didn't last time out, as the Celtics reserves led the way to victory.

Key Stats and Trends: Boston are still finding their feet offensively, ranked 27th in the NBA. Their #1 ranked defense is what's keeping them afloat in the meantime, holding opponents to an outstanding 95.2 points per 100 possessions.

Detroit might not be able to pull off a road win, but take the 8.5 points and run with them. The Pistons to keep it close and cover.

Key Play: Detroit +8.5

LA Clippers @ Oklahoma City

A surprisingly plucky Los Angeles Clippers outfit comes to Oklahoma City to take on a team it beat last week after the Thunder collapsed in the fourth quarter in their visit to LA. The Thunder meanwhile are 1-4 after a rocky start and will look to get their season back on track.

Russell Westbrook now is 3 games into his return from knee surgery and is finding his rhythm, and the Thunder will need him to. This Clippers team is no joke, and there are no nights off in the Western Conference.

Key Stats and Trends: Oklahoma City are 0-3 ATS at home, but the team was finding their rhythm in those games and last time out against Phoenix they'd blown out the score before the Suns filled it up in garbage time.

Back OKC to go against the season trend so far and get 2018/19 back on track.

Key Play: OKC -2.5

Washington @ Memphis

Washington's season is quickly getting away from them as they sit in a 1-5 hole. The Wizards can't guard anyone, and there is already public voicing of displeasure by the players. Memphis are 3-2 and already proving to be a tough out on a night to night basis.

The Wizards are on the end of a gruelling five-game road trip, and are starting Ian Mahinmi with Dwight Howard out. It's desperate times for Scott Brooks and co.

Key Stats and Trends: the Grizzlies home form is strong, with the #1 ranked Offensive Rating at home, posting 121.0 points per 100 possessions. They're also 11th in Defensive Rating and 2nd in Net Rating. Meanwhile the Wizards aren't good at anything right now, ranked 24th, 25th and 27th respectively in Offensive Rating, Defensive Rating and Net Rating.

Washington is 1-5 ATS, this will make it 1-6. Take the Grizz.

Key Play: Memphis -2
