Round 11 NRL Betting Tips
Parramatta Eels vs Manly Sea Eagles
Bet: Sea Eagles +6.5 at $1.91
It's not always our go to bet against the Eels (even at the line), but this one is shaping up nicely for us.
One thing that stands out when looking into this matchup is the Sea Eagles preferring to score down the right this year, with 39% of their tries coming from that side of the ground, as opposed to 27% down the middle and 33% down the left.
This is important as the Eels' defence actually concedes tries at a higher rate down the right side of the defence (45%) than they do compared to middle (16%) and left (39%).
Our fair odds for the Sea Eagles +6.5 are $1.68, giving us punters a massive 7% edge on the bookies!
The Eels play host to the Sea Eagles at CommBank Stadium on Friday, May 20 at 7:55pm AEST.
St George Illawarra Dragons vs New Zealand Warriors
Bet: Ben Hunt anytime try scorer at $5
Now, this is of course a roughie, but when there's value, there's value.
Our model has Ben Hunt's fair try scorer odds at $4.10, which actually lines up right with his career numbers, having scored 67 times in 277 games.
The Dragons halfback has scored just one try in 10 games so far this season. But with St George Illawarra at home against a Warriors side that has conceded the most tries in the NRL in 2022, this looks to be the perfect spot for him to cross the try line.
The Dragons face the Warriors at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday, May 21 at 3:00pm AEST.
North Queensland Cowboys vs Melbourne Storm
Bet: Cowboys +5.5 at $1.91
The Storm are set to go into another game without one of their best in Ryan Papenhuyzen and could also be missing another key starter in Jahrome Hughes.
With the Cowboys playing on their home deck and coming off five straight wins, we're confident that they can at least keep this one close against the 2020 premiers.
Our fair odds for a 5.5-point line sit at $1.79, making this $1.91 good value.
The Cowboys and Storm do battle at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Saturday, May 21 at 5:30pm AEST.
