Round 24 NRL Try Scorer Tips

Alex Johnston Anytime Try at $1.44

A player that features in this article weekly, Rabbitohs winger Alex Johnston now has 27 tries in 21 games in 2022, seeing him sit seven clear of second place in the league (Corey Oates).

Although the Cowboys have conceded the second least points in the NRL this season, Johnston still finds himself as the most likely try scorer across the league this week, with a probability of 70.7%.

This probability means that the implied fair odds for Johnston to score any time this Saturday are $1.42, with BlueBet giving us some value with their odds of $1.44.

Rabbitohs vs Cowboys is at the Accor Stadium on Saturday, August 27 at 7:35pm AEST.

Matt Ikuvalu Anytime Try at $1.53

After scoring 15 tries in 14 games for the Roosters last season, Sharks recruit Matt Ikuvalu has crossed the line four times in four games in 2022.

With both Sione Katoa out for the season and Connor Tracey on the sidelines this week due to concussion, Ikuvalu should get multiple chance to add to his two-try effort against the Sea Eagles last week.

Our fair odds for Ikuvalu to score are $1.56, with BlueBet's odds almost right in line with this at $1.53.

Sharks vs Bulldogs is at PointsBet Stadium on Saturday, August 27 at 5:30pm AEST.

Brian To'o Anytime Try at $1.44

One of three Panthers players to make our top ten most likely try scorers this week (below), Brian To'o has an anytime try scorer probability of 58.5%.

To'o has failed to score in his last five starts, but did cross the line six times in four games prior to that, and now faces a Warriors team giving up the most points per game in the NRL this season at 28.5.

To'o's 58.5% try scorer probability equates to fair odds of $1.71, whilst BlueBet is offering $1.44.

Panthers vs Warriors is at BlueBet Stadium on Friday, August 26 at 6:00pm AEST.
