Both teams were terribly disappointing last weekend and both teams will be missing a half. Keary is out due to concussion concerns, but this is not much of a loss in my view, as he was very poor in Round 2. Ilias has finally been dropped, which is something I flagged as coming if he kept making silly errors (which he has!).

Although both teams were poor last week, it was Souths who were truly diabolical. As I thought, Coach Jason D is already under pressure and with Cody not firing and Latrell seemingly all over the place mentally, it is hard to see Souths bouncing back here.

The Roosters, however, don’t instill me with much confidence at present. While they were good Round 1 in Vegas and went on a roll last year, Coach Robinson continues to make weird team selection calls. I don’t know why Connor Watson and Angus Crichton have not been getting selected and I am worried he will play Sandon Smith in halves, therefore throwing out the hooker rotation that B Smith needs.

There is too much uncertainty around these teams and their mental state heading into this one.

With JWH celebrating 300 games, I think Roosters will get the win in a nail-biter.
