Manly come into this one off the back of a pretty ugly win against the Titans and a frustrating draw against the Warriors. But it is worth remembering just how tough of a draw Manly have had this year and how strong they were against the Warriors in NZ and Panthers a fortnight ago.

In contrast, the Eels looked hopeless against the Dolphins, with their big, immobile pack struggling to keep up once they lost control of the possession struggle. That is the risk for the Eels, they are a team that NEEDS high possession and guys like Matterson, RCG, Lane and Paulo are all struggling to produce the form that’s saw the Eels make the GF in 2022.

At least Coach Arthur has finally turned to youth, with Sanders given the 7 jersey and his NRL debut. This is something Arthur should have done 3 weeks ago, based on his NSW Cup form. Sivo is also back, which should provide some spark and much needed aggression.

Brad Arthur is under a lot of pressure and I think the Eels will come out firing, but the Manly line up looks much stronger now that they have guys like Saab, Aloiai and Lodge lining up.

At home, Manly should be far too strong.
