With the Storm about to welcome back Munster and Hughes for the first time as halves partners this season, I think they may be about to send a warning signal to the competition.

They have struggled to score points so far this season, but their defence is looking ominous with just 13.33 points conceded per game in first three encounters. They have played three tough games too, with the Panthers, Knights and Warriors all top 4 teams from last season.

The Broncos beating the Cowboys (despite being without Haas and Walsh) is a sign of just what a strong squad they have this year. Sailor filled in great at 1 and their unheralded forwards like Flether Baker, Jayden Hunt, Xavier Wilson and Kobe Hetherington are playing better than I thought they would this early on in the season.

I think the home ground advantage is a big factor here, with the Storm defensive line speed always given an extra half a metre when at home.

I am conscious that both Munster and Big Nelson will be underdone in terms of fitness, with neither having had a proper pre-season to build match fitness, so although I think the Storm may get the win, covering the line looks a lot riskier.
