The Storm were one team that really impressed me in their trials. Despite having no Munster or Big Nelson, they smashed the Knights by being far too physical in the middle and slick out wide.

Pezet is no slouch as a fill-in for Munster and Papi is getting better each time he dons the 1 jersey.

But it is their forward pack that has me excited for the Storm. Tui, Welch, King and Loiero were all guys I was worried about in 2024, but they all played strong in trials.

Throw in the dynamic Blore, Nelson and Katoa, and I think the Storm have the pack to match the Panthers.

I thought the Panthers were quite poor against Wigan. Their backline movements were clunky and their forwards were rattled by the niggle of Wigan.

While they copped some bad referee calls, I think Wigan showed the blueprint on how to beat the Panthers and it is very similar to the way the Eels have out played the Panthers over the years.

With no Kenny at 9 and the Panthers a chance of being flat after their ill-fated trip across the other side of the world, the Storm are a big chance of an upset here.
