The Storm’s pre-season victory against the Knights was ominous, because it showed Coach Bellamy had his forwards in great shape and ready to play tough footy in the middle.
They backed up that performance with a punishing performance against the Panthers. While it wasn’t pretty, it was the exact kind of performance that Coach Bellamy sides have become known for.
Without Munster and Big Nelson, it was even more impressive and it is clear that the Storm have better depth in 2023 than they have in recent years.
This week they face a tough test, with the wounded Warriors desperate not to start their season 0-2.
As for the Warriors, against the Sharks, they accumulated enough stats to score more than 12 points and it was just an inability to capitalise on their field position that cost them the game.
They are still missing CNK and Niukore, and Egan must also be under an injury cloud based on how he looked last week.
The Storm attack was not brilliant, scoring their only try off a kick and not creating many chances without Munster on the pitch.
Interesting game coming up which could be tight and we'll see how the Warriors handle last week’s disappointment.
Predicted score: 22 Storm - Warriors 18

Let’s be honest - what do you really want from your betting?
For nearly every punter, it boils down to the same things.
You want to win. Of course. Nobody likes losing money. But as you probably know, winning over the long term is hard. Very hard.
You want it to be easy. This isn’t a job for you. It’s a hobby… maybe a bit of a side hustle. But you don’t want - nor do you have the time - to spend hours and hours each week on trying to decipher where the value in the market is.
You want it to be fun. Nobody got into this for it to be a chore, did they? You want to make good bets, and enjoy riding the outcomes
