The Benji bubble appears to be bursting, with two losses in recent weeks reminding Wests fans that their squad is still a fair way off being a Top 8 team. Although they were competitive against the Panthers for large parts of that game, Wests still lack the attacking flair needed to overcome modern defensive structures.

Without Tupou missing out wide, one of their weaker areas has been further weakened and this will make points harder to come by. Although Alaimalo was a star in Union, he has not been going great for Wests Magpies in NSW Cup, so I know where the Broncos will be targeting.

In contrast, the Broncos will welcome back Haas, Reynolds and Piakura. Offsetting this, is the loss of Mam and Cobbo. Although the Broncos are still looking far too strong, they have struggled for continuity and with Wests at home and playing gritty, I am going to stay out of this one at the line.

Predicted score: 28 Broncos - Wests 16
