Round 14 NRL Try Scorer Tips

Alex Johnston Anytime Try Scorer at $1.77

Rabbitohs winger Alex Johnston has been by far South Sydney's most efficient try scorer in 2022 with 11 tries in 12 games, including five in his last three.

Coming off a hat-trick against Wests Tigers in Round 12, Johnston's fair odds to score a try against Gold Coast this week sit at $1.63, with Ladbrokes offering some nice odds of $1.77.

With the Titans conceding 54% of their tries down the right side of the ground this season, Johnston should get plenty of opportunities to score.

Titans vs Rabbitohs is at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday, June 11 at 3:00pm AEST.

Maika Sivo Anytime Try Scorer at $1.67

Maika Sivo is back. After suffering an ACL injury in Round 23 last year, the 28-year-old Fijian is set to return to NRL action against the Bulldogs on Monday.

Sivo came back via the NSW Cup, scoring six tries in three games, including a hat-trick last week against the Mounties.

The narrative is there for punters for one of the NRL's most popular cult heroes to score this weekend, with the best odds coming from TopSport at $1.67.

Bulldogs vs Eels is at Accor Stadium on Monday, June 13 at 4:00pm AEST.

Ronaldo Mulitalo Anytime Try Scorer at $1.68

The first of two Sharks players that our model likes to score this week, Ronaldo Mulitalo has eight tries in 10 games in 2022.

Mulitalo is coming in hot having scored in his last two games, and our fair odds for him making it three in a row are $1.80.

When comparing the Warriors' left, centre, and right sides of defence, the right leaks the most scores, with 26/61 tries allowed. This bodes well for Mulitalo, whose best odds come from Neds at $1.68.

Sione Katoa Anytime Try Scorer at $1.68

Sione Katoa started the 2022 NRL Season on fire, scoring five times in the first five weeks, but has since slowed down, scoring only twice in the next six games.

In saying that, both of those tries have come in the last three weeks, so Katoa appears to be returning to that early season form and now comes up against a Warriors side who has conceded the most points in the NRL in 2022.

Our fair odds for a Katoa try this week sit at $1.86, with Neds giving us the best bookie odds at $1.68.

Warriors vs Sharks is at Moreton Daily Stadium on Sunday, June 12 at 7:50pm AEST.

Taylan May Anytime Try Scorer at $1.83

With 12 tries in 11 games, Panthers winger Taylan May leads the NRL's try scorers list in 2022.

After a couple of games in a row against the Storm and Roosters where he was held to no tries, May has bounced back over the last two weeks, scoring against both the Cowboys and Bulldogs.

The Knights have conceded an extraordinary 49% of tries down the right side of their defence this season, compared to 38% down the left and 13% through the middle.

Our fair odds for an anytime try for May sit at $2.01 this week, with Ladbrokes offering $1.83 if you're looking to maximise your value.

Knights vs Panthers is at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday, June 12 at 4:05pm AEST.
