Round 16 NRL Try Scorer Tips

Sione Katoa Anytime Try at $1.82

With 11 tries in 13 games in 2022 so far, Sione Katoa is the most likely man to score in the NRL this weekend.

Katoa entered the Origin break in hot form, scoring five times in three games and should be able to find a couple of opportunities against the Bulldogs this week, with his Sharks projected to score 24 points.

Our fair odds for a Katoa try are $1.91, with the best odds coming from Neds at $1.82.

Alex Johnston Anytime Try at $2.02

Before being held scoreless against the Dragons in Round 15, Alex Johnston was running hot with eight tries in four games, including back-to-back hat-tricks.

Johnston is projected as a 52.3% chance to score against the Eels, with the winger looking take his tally up to 15 as he searches for his third straight leading try scorer title.

Our fair odds for Johnston to make his way back onto the scorers sheet this week are $1.91, with the $2.02 on offer from Ladbrokes looking great.

Ronaldo Mulitalo Anytime Try at $1.83

Sharks winger Ronaldo Mulitalo is on track for his best season in the NRL yet, with 10 tries in 12 games.

Mulitalo has four tries in his last four games and has also scored multiple tries on three separate occasions this season.

Our fair odds for Mulitalo to score anytime are $1.98, with $1.83 the best available at Neds.

Brian To'o Anytime Try at $1.81

The only man on this list to have scored in Origin 2 last Sunday, Brian To'o looks good to get in again against the Roosters this Friday.

After an injury-interrupted start to the 2022 NRL season, To'o has hit some hot form out on the right, with five tries in his last three matches.

Penrith have only scored 28% of their tries down the right this season, but with To'o in the team and playing down that side, they're starting to utilise it more and more.

Our fair odds for To'o to score against the Roosters are $2.05, with the best bookie odds coming from TopSport at $1.81.

Taylan May Anytime Try at $1.69

On the other side of the field for the Panthers is the NRL's equal-leading try scorer, Taylan May.

As stated above, Penrith tends to score more often down the left, with 53% of their tries coming down that side this season.

May has scored 14 times in 13 games this season, with our fair odds for him to add at least one more this week at $2.06. The bookie with the best odds is TopSport who are offering $1.69.
