The Punt Return: Big Lines, Belichick Conspiracies & Conservative Coaching...

Nick Splitter, James Rosewarne & Josh Wye are all back on deck to look at Week 2 in the NFL after an explosive opening week of the 2019 Season. The boys start the show mentioning that Week 2 might be the hardest week of the year because it is often hard not to over or underreact to the Week 1 results.

Before jumping into the Week 2 lines, the lads recap their Week 1 Results with Josh pounding the table in disgust at conservative coaching - especially from Matt Patricia and Vic Fangio - while Nick shares his elation in Lamar Jackson's form. James makes an interesting observation about the state of the running game in the NFL and wonders how that will play out with a very anti-run analytics community in NFL fandom.

Looking ahead at Week 2, starting with Thursday Night Football's #CARvsTB clash, and the show was glowing in its praise of Kellen Moore and his new-look Dallas offense and are all keen to see the Cowboys produce again. They then discuss how to approach such a massive line with the Patriots being 18.5 point favourites on the road against the Dolphins, before Josh then puts his foil hat on and proceeds to tell everyone to bet on the Dolphins moneyline because of a Bill Belichick conspiracy theory.

One game sparked some debate with Josh & Nick again clashing over the Houston Texans. Is Nick too high on the Texans? Or is Josh too low? James seems to think the answer lies in the middle.

They wrap things up with their week 2 best bets with James touching on some of his favourite futures plays, in particular, the Cowboys to win the NFC and DeAndre Hopkins to lead the league in receiving yards at nice odds, before Stats Insider's Dr Darryl Woodford joins the crew with the model's best plays.
